We will teach Faith Values.
- Faith Values are an attitude of life that expresses a belief that “each child’s life is uniquely worthwhile” in the eyes of our Creator and in the eyes of our faith community.
- Believing that each child’s life is uniquely worthwhile, we believe that Faith values include the Christian virtues of love, wonder/joy/curiosity, thanksgiving, self-control, peace, self-esteem, patience, safety, gentleness and goodness. And we believe that most people would agree that these virtues are teachings that would be valued by most faith communities. They also represent values that help to develop good citizens.
- The purpose of our Preschool training in faith values would not be to indoctrinate children into any specific confessional teachings. We would however be using teachings from the Christian Faith as a general guideline for teaching the above-mentioned virtues.
We expect our staff to be committed in their word and deed to a belief that “the life of your child is uniquely worthwhile” in the eyes of our Creator and in the practice of our religious community.
